Chris Teng joined Ward Keller as a Law Clerk in 2015, midway through his first year into a double degree in law and arts at Charles Darwin University.
The role of a Law Clerk involves various duties, which Chris believes is a motivating and exciting experience. “I’m finding Ward Keller very enjoyable and it is rewarding to be able to utilise the skills I’ve developed in the workplace with my university studies,” said Chris who is currently working in the commercial cell. Chris assists our lawyers and support staff in the area of family law and migration law with preparing court briefs, research and preparing memos, court deliveries and other duties.
Ward Keller has allowed me to develop and deepen valuable practical knowledge and skills utilised in the legal profession. I’m grateful to work with our lawyers and support staff who every day teach and guide me.
Outside study and his role at Ward Keller, Chris likes to travels to South East Asia and hopes to improve on his Mandarin proficiency in the near future. Chris is the immediate past president of the Territory division of United Nations Youth Australia, a non-profit, youth-led organisation that aims to educate and empower young Territorians on global issues. He also loves swimming and walking his pet dog.
